The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are now open and can close on fifteen December 2024.

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must satisfy the following criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house with a combined gross domestic income that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house profits does not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not post any evidence of earnings.
