As the 2024 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations kick-off, Higher{Education and Training Minister, Dr Nobuhle Pamela Nkabane, has reminded all matriculants to seize the opportunity to make an application for funding from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
"The application window will shut on 15 December 2024, and you will discover not many days left to submit applications. Suitable college students are urged to apply immediately to secure monetary assistance for their post-school education," Nkabane said.
Nkabane extended well wishes to all matriculants, who sat for the National Senior Certificate Examinations, with learners writing languages, English and Afrikaans Paper three.
Nkabane explained this pivotal moment marks the fruits of many years of effort and encourages the Class of 2024 to approach their tests with willpower and self-confidence.
With Just about 880 000 candidates, including 727 121 full-time and 155,215 part-time candidates from throughout South Africa sit for this year's matric examinations, across South Africa, nsfas status check Basic Education Minister, Siviwe nsfas status check Gwarube, has assured the public with the department's preparedness to administer the tests effortlessly.

• Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges: Focusing on practical skills and technical knowledge to equip students for employment and self-employment.
• Higher Education nsfas application institutions: Universities and higher education providers offering degree and diploma programmes.
